NEW PICTURES OF THE HOUSE
Photos taken June 3, 2009

Image of the north side of house from the cul-de-sac street.

Image of the east (junk) side of house from the street.

Image of the east (junk) side of house from the backyard.   The lot is almost a triangle, narrow in front and wide in back.

Image of the west side of house from the street.

Image of the west side of house from the backyard.

Image from the deck to left side of back yard and meadow.   Our "bridge to nowhere" and to its right, a tomahawk target.

Image from the deck to center of back yard and meadow.   We fenced in the front and both side of the yard but left the back open.

Image from the deck to right side of back yard and thicket.   Sometime later this year there will be a backyard pond with water running down from the pile of rocks to the left of the blue heron.

Image of the mini-barn and deck from the left (east) corner of back yard.   The mini-barn allows for completely privacy on the deck.

Image of back yard and meadow right to left (west to east).

Another image of back yard and meadow (facing south).   When we sit on the deck we do not see another house in the community.

SOME OF OUR
MEADOW VISITORS

Have seen a fox crossing the meadow.   See coon and possum tracks after a rain.   Geese, ducks and a blue heron are always flying overhead but pass too quickly for a photo so far.

Two 6-point bucks in velvet taken early June 2009 about 9AM.

Two does taken early morning in June 2009.

Single doe taken another day in early June 2009.   Could be the smaller one from the previous photo.

Mother and son taken late evening in the late summer of 2008.   We watched the fawn lose his spots and develop his button horns until November when they disappeared til spring.   He could be one of the earlier bucks in velvet.

Our sentinel (red-tailed hawk) perched on a backyard corner tree.   Was able to see two adults and two younger ones perched in the same tree at the same time. Wasn't quick enought to photograph them.   Watched two successful attacks on a rabbit and a dove last year.   Awesome!
